This website is a personal project of mine, created out of a passion for optimizing my own health, as well as some of the things I have learned along the way.
I used to believe that weight loss had to be done the traditional way that everyone seems to be recommending, but also quickly found out that it really is a struggle to do what doctors and other medical professionals generally recommend.
In addition to that, health professionals usually do not seem to ever properly explain the WHY you should be including certain things into your daily routines in order to be able to lose the weight that you may be trying to lose.
There’s no denying that the things that I recommend are still considered alternative in their nature because they have yet to be widely adapted.
I additionally dislike when people say “Oh, what if you could have bought Amazon back when it originally IPO’d? You’d be rich!”
If you had in fact bought Amazon stock back at that time, you would be sitting on some very generous returns on investment, and I think we are in for a complete transition of the way we look at health.
I used to think that it would be completely impossible to go a whole day without food – that was until I tried it. I ended up finding out that while there was some mild irritation and I was cold for most of the day, it really wasn’t that bad.
I also found out that every time I tried again afterwards, it kept getting easier. It not just kept getting easier, but the weight was coming off like a waterfall, with basically no side effects.
Have you seemingly tried everything under the sun without being able to achieve the desired weight loss goals? Chances are that you probably never entered ketosis and your insulin-resistance also wasn’t helping you.
Do you think I am some weirdo for believing that you should try entirely not eating, especially if you have been struggling with weight loss in the past? Water fasting has been great for me, has allowed me to not just keep the weight off, but also benefit from some of the other various benefits that you get when you fast, whereby you give your body some time off to do some self-cleansing (autophagy, if you want to get all into science). Check out my results right here, that also include a bunch of pictures.
I encourage you to do your own research. If you have previously tried various weight loss supplements, seemingly with very little results, what do you really have to lose?
And yes, there are still supplements that may help you in your pursuit of weight loss, but if you do things right, you may very well end up not having to need any of them. There are very basic supplements that may end up making your journey easier, as most people have conditioned their bodies to eat as commonly as they do, but you can go about this entire journey without the use of any supplements. If you do end up fasting, you really should, however, be making sure that you get your electrolytes, as those will make you feel a lot better in the process.
I encourage you to visit the Reddit on fasting, where you can see how hundreds, if not thousands of others have had their entire entire health situations completely changed from the fact that they tried out fasting. I also encourage you to read this article on some of the benefits of fasting, and I would encourage you to read up on autophagy as well.
There is no reason why you should necessarily start doing an extensive water fast as your initial way of approaching this new journey that you are embarking on. I promise you that if you have previously been used to eating 3 meals per day, plus whatever snacking has additionally been included as well, you will be losing weight by lowering the frequency at which you eat.
The reason why I personally like fasting so much is because of the many benefits that it provides (including autophagy), but also how it is quite possibly the easiest way to optimize the 3 hormones that I believe are the biggest reason why people are struggling so much with weight loss.
If you have read anything on my blog already, you may know that I am of the profound belief that the 3 hormones that anyone will really need to focus on when they are losing weight includes ghrelin, insulin and leptin. If you eat (or if you don’t, and you fast), while keeping these 3 hormones in the back of your mind, you will be setting your body up for some impressive results, and very, very quickly.
The reason why I have chosen to include a bunch of information on my personal journey, as well documentation on my various 3, 4 5, 7, 10, 14 and maybe even 21 or 30 day water fasts (if I get REALLY ambitious), is because I want for that information to hopefully inspire you. Inspire you to achieve some of the health goals that you may have previously thought were completely impossible to achieve, even if you choose that intermittent fasting may be the way for you to get started.
Before you know it, you may be like this girl on Reddit who said that fasting changed her life.
Fasting definitely changed my life and it has become a thing that I continue to incorporate into my daily life – sometimes to the great frustration of my girlfriend!
Losing weight may not seem like an easy thing to get started on, but hopefully with the help from this site, the various steps I have taken and the mistakes I have previously made myself, I can help you jump past some of those initial hoops and get you started in the right direction.
My personal story – why I initially got interested in fasting in the beginning, and my story with a neuromuscular disease
The concept of fasting may not seem very approachable to start off with, and I did not initially start out by just waking up one day and going about doing a 14 day water fast. Getting to that point took time, it took time to muster up the courage to actually try out something that would likely involve a great deal of initial pain (pain in the sense of hunger) to potentially receive some of the benefits at a later stage.
My initial line of thinking was always that if you don’t eat, you will end up ruining your metabolism. You absolutely must keep eating in order to keep your metabolism going, however, while maintaining a caloric deficit and struggling with incredible amounts of hunger in the process, too.
This belief has honestly very much been kept alive by the fact that people in the gym community tend to go through cycles of “cutting”, whereby they gradually lower their caloric intake in order to preserve as much muscle mass as possible. A painful process I have gone through a bunch of times myself – you put on a little bit too much weight initially but also put on a bunch of muscle mass as you’re increasing the weight on the scale, but when it comes time to get rid of the fat while maintaining the muscle, it gets painful.
In essence, this is the usual process that anyone goes through as they are trying to jump on a diet and lose weight. And if you have ever tried tried using Google to find the various types of diets, you will see that there are many. A very quick search will reveal that you will have to create a diet in order to really be recognized as a celebrity – when my ego allows for it, I may even create a diet myself and start promoting it on here, obviously with the intention of eventually encouraging people to engage in fasting. However, for those with curious minds, these were some of the many options I came by during my own initial research, taken from a document I managed to dig up.

Yes, as you can see, you really need to come up with your own creative way for people to lose weight before you can truthfully be recognized as a celebrity.
My interest in fasting initially stems from the fact that I have a disease called Charcot Marie Tooth 1A (or CMT 1A), which currently only offers very few ways to address the disease, and arguably some of them may only have a limited amount of valid information to back up their validity. While Lecithin has been proven to be a treatment for Charcot Marie Tooth in this study, it is not a solution that can ensure that you are symptom-free, but it is at least something I believe should be incorporated into your eating regimen if you are serious about dealing with this specific disease.
However, with one of the main benefits of fasting being increased autophagy (or overall cellular repair), and this study showing that too much PMP22 protein negatively affecting the myelin generation, as well as a duplication of the PMP22 gene being the main driver in the progression of the disease, I set out to at least give fasting a try and try to increase my autophagy levels, too.
In addition to that, animal studies continuously show that animals tend to live 30-40% longer by limiting their caloric intakes (aka greatly resembling the act of fasting), which was an additional reason why I think fasting is interesting (and why I think I will live to the age of 200). Unfortunately there are no human studies to prove that caloric restriction, or fasting for that matter, has the same effect on humans, but my suspicions are still that autophagy is likely the main driver in animals living longer, why I am of the firm belief that it is also the case for humans – you allow the body time to repair in between meals, and you get rid of some of the bad stuff that may eventually lead to crippling diseases.
While it is very hard to conclusively say that fasting has had a positive effect on my CMT, I can anecdotally say that I think it has. I truthfully feel as if I have been able to improve the implications that I live with on a daily basis that have been caused by CMT (like clumsiness, among other things) from the fact that I give my body some time to really activate those autophagy muscles and clean out some of those bad protein aggregates, thereby improving the efficacy of the myelin production.
Although besides my interest in fasting from the perspective of potentially improving the outlook of my disease, I also see it as a very important aspect towards optimizing my health for longevity, including reducing the risk of certain age related diseases such as Alzheimer’s – yes, there is growing scientific proof that fasting and intermittent fasting is both good for brain health but that it can also be used as a treatment for Alzheimer’s.
While I may have very personal reasons for embarking on this fasting journey, I have seen in a lot of communities how this is something that is changing the lives of thousands of people that may have previously been struggling with obesity, with many of them seeing vast improvements to their weight, health, mood and confidence.
From personal experience, I can tell you that one of the best feelings in the world is when you come to the end of an extensive fast. Some people in the community refer to it as faster’s high, although I just know that it does wonders for my mood, and even for weeks following me fasting.
Have you personally had any experience with this topic, or is it something that you could see yourself giving a try? There’s no reason why you need to initially start off with something as extreme as a 7 day water fast, but you may rather just start out slow. Even by avoiding that usual breakfast you normally have, you’re already putting yourself in a situation where you’re entering the state of intermittent fasting.
Ready to try something new?
Life should be about embracing the challenges while enjoying the outcome. Intermittent fasting, weight loss, and perhaps even extended fasting does not have to be something that you dread doing, and you may soon be feeling like an entirely new person.
When you stand in front of the mirror and end up looking at yourself, while seeing that you have in fact been able to drop 5, 10, 15, 20 or perhaps even 25 pound in a period of time that you never even imagined was possible, that is when you really start appreciating the possibilities that this new tool will provide you with. It also may mean that you can get back to a stage where you can have those cheat meals throughout when you are having a day of eating without feeling that you are massively setting back all the work that you have been putting in.
There is no denying that weight loss may seem like an uphill battle, especially if you are a person who believes that they have tried almost anything to shed those extra pounds that you have been carrying around for years, and trust me when I say that I think you will be absolutely thrilled when you start seeing the results.
Not only will you be able to achieve these results in a period of time that you may not have imagined would be possible, but you will do it without necessarily having to spend a lot of money (except perhaps on new clothes!) as you are taking advantage of one of the most basic functions that we have developed over the course of millions of years – the ability to tap into the storage that our bodies have on them, also known as the fat.
It may be that you are working your way up to a more ambitious project, like doing an extended fast, or it may be that you are simply happy with taking a little bit longer while still getting closer to your goal. Your first step comes when you decide that it is time to take some action in one way or another, and it may be as simple as starting to cut out the snacks that you have otherwise been indulging on. It may be that you choose to cut out those liquid calories that in fact don’t provide a whole bunch of satisfaction when they have managed to make it to your stomach, and you simply regret choosing the large beverage rather than the small-sized one instead, which would have arguably given you the same level of satisfaction.
Perhaps you have even gotten to the point where you are ready to start cutting out that beverage entirely and have your body’s thirst satisfied by some of Mother Earth’s finest – pure, non-flavored water, while providing you with some of that great hydration you are looking for!
Perhaps you have gotten a little bit further, and you may have started looking up some of the various articles on our site, like this one that talks about losing face fat, while also showing you what I was able to accomplish in a relatively short period of time, simply by taking advantage of my body’s natural metabolism.
Maybe you have gotten so far on your journey that you haven’t just cut out the beverage, but you’ve rather started taking initiatives that are setting you up for your first attempt at fasting – no worries if you don’t have success the first time around! My first attempt was not pleasant, and it only got easier over the course of repeating the process.
You have been conditioning your body to a certain eating window, with some people conditioning their body to continuously and repeatedly be in a state of hunger, and it will take you some time and some effort before you can start doing longer fasts without feeling some of the consequences from decades and decades of continued eating.
Let me ask you this one question – have you ever previously gone an entire day without eating?
If you have, you are already well on your way to being able to take advantage of the powerful tool of water fasting, but if you haven’t, you will naturally feel some of the associated consequences. The side effects will eventually subside, and if you are getting your electrolytes in when you are doing the fast, you will rapidly feel that it just keeps getting easier and easier to get the job done!
The first step that many people will have to do is to actually start cutting out the snacks, as these do nothing but simply raise your blood sugar and trigger an insulin response, that will lead to a sacrifice of your health in the long run. When you have started cutting out the snacks from your life, that is when you may start cutting out a meal. Suddenly cutting out one meal turns into cutting out two meals, and at that point you have already had your first OMAD success. Before long, you will not only achieve your weight loss goals but also get that autophagy engine going for you!
Has this blog inspired you to change your health for the better? I love hearing stories, and would love for you to share it with someone if you believe that it may help them on a path to a better future!
